Last night after a nice meal at The Boat House at Pillings Lock we went for a drink with Graham & Della aboard nb Ardea. We had an extremely pleasant evening chatting & having a drink or two.
Today we've been busy but haven't actually managed to leave the marina yet. Simon serviced the engine & gearbox & had to do a juggling act with the new and old oil as he didn't have enough containers. I meanwhile tried to stow away our gear & found homes for most of it. Then 2 trips to Tesco, a huge shop followed by a return trip for all the stuff I'd forgotten!
Vera has decided that she doesn't like getting on or off Muriel onto the pontoon so Simon is having to carry her, which isn't doing much for his back. We decided that we'll finish the chores in the morning before we head off. It's been a beautiful sunny day today so we're hoping for the same again tomorrow, although we don't really mind as we're just happy to be here!
